Crosses of Lafayette: Writing Sorrow

The number of crosses in Lafayette's Memorial to the U.S. Troops killed in Iraq continues to grow. And increasingly individual crosses have more personal messages and tributes.

"Let's talk of graves, of worms, and epitaphs;
Make dust our paper, and with rainy eyes
Write sorrow on the bosom of the earth."

- William Shakespeare
